Victorian pioneer photographer

Francis Frith was a Victorian pioneer photographer who established a firm which set out to photograph every town and site of interest in the British isles. Frith embarked a plan to photograph every town and village in the United Kingdom and in particular notable historical or interesting sights. Initially Francis Frith took the photographs himself, but as success came, Frith hired people to help him and set about establishing his postcard company.
